Sleek and Classic

 The classic white kitchen gets a modern twist with a dark contrasting island. Painted Maple gives a smooth finish and the shaker style doors create  crisp  lines. Defining a work space

A kitchen needs a place to work, dine, socialize and prep. Defining the areas with good design is essential. Here, the designated cooking zone is frames with detailed columns and 4 layers of crown molding. Herringbone tile accents the back splash and pull out spice racks do double duty by organizing those "must have" condiments and clearly defining the use of this space.

The island

Seating for 5! Silky smooth, solid granite! This island is the hub of the kitchen. Children will have snacks, casual meals will be enjoyed, family game nights have a designated spot, adult dinner parties will start here with cocktails. An island in a kitchen is like a solid anchor in the home. Memories will be made, great dinners will be prepared and life will forever encircle  it.  

Appliances

The sleek feel of this kitchen is not disturbed by thoughtlessly added appliances. With great consideration in the design for placement, use and function, these appliances are integrated seamlessly.
The microwave incorporated into a tall cabinet with a drawer directly underneath helps with  organization and efficiency. Cabinetry above the fridge and above and below the microwave is prime location for anything from plastics for microwave cooking to quick fix snacks like popcorn, oatmeal and cup o soups. The added sparkle of stainless steel make the appliances in this kitchen a decorative accent.
